“Leaving the Universe” is a body of work that explores what it means to be a human in the context of the Universe; an attempt to locate oneself in the vastness and endlessness of space and time while dealing with the routine of everyday life. How do you reconcile the mysterious and the mundane?

This exhibition was funded by Individual Artist Grant from Queens Council on the Arts, 2016.
The exhibition was installed in Dougherty Gallery as well as in the adjacent restaurant’s dining halls in Queens, NY. I featured 40 pieces of art. Click “next” to view the photos from the opening night as well as close-ups of the work.
